GIPL Names New Executive Director

Kate McGregor Mosley as Executive Director, effective January 1, 2015.Under her leadership as interim executive director for the past five months, GIPL has continued its collaboration with even more congregations, environmental organizations, businesses, and other non-profits across Georgia, confronting the environmental challenges of our time as moral and ethical issues.Kate is a 2006 graduate of Columbia Theological Seminary in Decatur and an ordained Presbyterian minister. She is a seasoned advocate for environmental concerns and champion for faith-based eco-action. Kate came on board with GIPL through its merger with Earth Covenant Ministry of the Presbyterian Church (USA) in 2011. In her role as Director of Congregational Outreach, she led the organization’s outreach efforts and program development for faith-based sustainability.“We're delighted to have Kate move into the Executive Director position,” says GIPL Board Director and Professor of Christian Ethics at Columbia Theological Seminary, Dr. Mark Douglas. “She's been valuable as a staff member and invaluable as our interim executive director. The Board looks forward to working with her as GIPL helps faith communities become models of sustainability and stewardship in Georgia and beyond.”“I'm honored to have been selected to lead GIPL into its next decade,” says Rev.
