Jubilee: Radically Reimagining Righteousness - A Sermon

Marqus Cole, Organizing Director for Georgia Interfaith Power and Light, preached on Wednesday, May 29, 2024, at The Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist in Spokane, Washington. His sermon on Leviticus 25: 8-55 and Jubilee was part of the 50th anniversary of Expo ’74, the World’s Fair on the Environment.

In his message, Marqus explores the question: “Can an increase in spirituality in America result in greater care of the environment? In the face of injustice here and around the world, a renewed call to Jubilee should provoke us all to radically reimagine right relationship with God, neighbor, and Creation itself.
