Cate Tedford (she/her)

2025-2026 Program Fellow | 404.377.5552 | cate@gipl.org

Cate serves as the 2025-2026 Program Fellow at Georgia Interfaith Power and Light (GIPL). Cate's passion for environmental justice work began during a summer internship working on a micro-farm in South Carolina. This role turned into a full-time job as a manager of a fresh food access program.

Cate's curiosity about the intersections of faith and justice then led her to Candler School of Theology at Emory University, where she is currently a second-year Master of Divinity student. In June 2025, Cate graduated from Interfaith Atlanta's inaugural Sacred Dialogues Fellowship, outlining her passion for faith communities working together for the common good. Originally from Fort Mill, South Carolina, Cate graduated from Clemson University in 2023 with degrees in Modern Language and Philosophy and concentrations in Spanish and Law, Liberty, and Justice.

Historically a denominational nomad, she currently attends the Atlanta Friends Meeting in Decatur. In her free time, Cate enjoys practicing yoga, being active outside, and returning to her favorite Mary Oliver poems.
