And It Was Good: The Bible, Theology, and Ecology: Session 1

In this five-part Candler Foundry series taught by leading scholars and theologians, you will explore the intersections of theology, spirituality, and ethics in ways that signal hopeful and generative responses to the shifting and changing realities of global warming. When God created the earth, God brought all light and darkness, land and water, and animals and humans into existence. And God declared: It was good! The Creation stor(ies) designates us to be stewards over the earth. We are responsible for exhibiting the same goodness and care for the earth and its ecosystems that God demonstrated when God created it. L. Bevel Jones III Professor of Religious Education at Emory University, Dr. Jennifer R. Ayres, will lead this first session on "Ecological Grief and the Life of Faith."
