Join Georgia Interfaith Power & Light (GIPL) on Saturday, June 6, 2026, from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at St. Thomas Episcopal Church for a regional Green Team Summit Circle in Columbus. This half-day gathering will bring together Green Teams, faith leaders, and environmental advocates for a morning of connection, learning, and faithful action.
As part of GIPL’s Summer of Advocacy, participants will learn about the impacts of a proposed pipeline and data center in the area, as well as ways to get involved in clean energy advocacy efforts in Columbus and beyond.
Participants will also have the chance to hear from GIPL staff about how to organize effectively in their congregation and how planting and protecting trees, especially in underserved neighborhoods, can advance justice and build climate resilience.
General Admission is $25. Student tickets are $10. A light breakfast and coffee will be provided. All are welcome and encouraged to attend.
