Birds and Bins

  • Chatham County Wetlands Preserve 6811 Chief Of Love Road Savannah, GA, 31419 United States (map)

Join GIPL’s Coastal Interfaith Green Team, the Ogeechee Riverkeeper, Ogeechee Audubon Society, and The Ford for a birding walk and litter cleanup on Sept. 16 from 9-11 a.m. at the Chatham County Wetlands Preserve.

This beautiful site offers a mix of habitats, featuring wetlands and river settings. Ogeechee Audubon co-leaders & Ogeechee Riverkeeper co-leaders will help locate and identify birds, educate about the southern part of the Ogeechee watershed while we clean up the waterways.

We will search for wading birds, raptors, woodpeckers, and more! Please bring binoculars if you have them. Litter collection supplies will be provided. A limited amount of loaner binoculars will be available.
