Environmental Justice is an essential aspect of climate and ecological work. Not all people are being affected equally by climate change and ecological degradation. Poor and/or marginalized communities are harmed by hazardous waste, resource extraction, water contamination, and other land uses from which they do not benefit, as well as air and soil pollution, extreme weather, and more.
GIPL’s Coastal Interfaith Green Team invites others to join them on a tour of the Harambee House on Saturday, Nov. 18 from 12:30 – 2 p.m. to learn about its work in the community, and how this work supports environmental justice for impacted communities in Savannah. The Harambee House is located at 1115 Habersham St. in Savannah. Because of space limitations, the number of guests is limited to 12, so don’t delay your RSVP.
