Shifting Landscapes Film Series and Reflection Circle

Join Georgia Interfaith Power & Light for an online reflection circle around Emergence Magazine's Shifting Landscapes, a documentary series "exploring the power of art and story to orient us amid the darkness of our time. Following a musician, a poet, a writer, and a filmmaker who are each embracing the alchemical power of story to connect and transform us, this series opens ways of being that hold both catastrophe and love as our landscapes change and disappear."

On the third Tuesday for four months, participants will independently view a beautifully-produced short film (40 - 70 minutes) and reflect on a handful of inspiring questions. The group will meet via Zoom for an hour to discuss the documentary, with prompts provided in advance. In addition, participants will be invited to engage in a practice related to the film and to share their experience with the group if they choose.

Participants are encourage to attend all sessions:

Oct. 21, Nov. 18, Dec. 16, and Jan. 20.

This circle is particularly aimed at green team leaders who want to explore more spirit-based programming with their groups. Sessions will be facilitated by Beth Remmes, GIPL's coastal outreach and resiliency coordinator, and Jon Reese, green team leader at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Atlanta. Both have extensive experience leading small groups, and they will provide suggestions for replicating this type of program with a variety of teams.
