In partnership with the United Methodist General Board of Global Ministries, the General Board of Church and Society, the Love Your Neighbor Coalition, and United Women In Faith, the United Methodist Creation Justice Movement is hosting an "Earth Day Vigil for Creation" on April 22 at 7 p.m.
The main event will take place at First UMC, Charlotte before the United Methodist General Conference, with featured speaker/preacher Dr. Musa Dube from Candler School of Theology.
Decatur First UMC has agreed to serve as a North Georgia host site for the vigil live stream. Join us in person as we worship together, create prayer flags for Sacred Earth, and have a time of reflection for our planet.
Georgia Interfaith Power and Light (GIPL) will be present to offer additional resources for individuals and congregations looking to expand their Green Team efforts.
