Ramadan Iftar Grant
Thank you for your interest in Georgia Interfaith Power & Light’s (GIPL) Zero-Waste Iftar Grants! GIPL is proud to partner with Can’d Aid’s Crush It Crusade to support masjids and other faith-based institutions in hosting Zero-Waste Iftars during Ramadan.
Grants awarded in the first quarter of each year provide resources and support to help masjids reduce their environmental impact during Ramadan by diverting at least 90% of waste from landfills through recycling and composting. The initiative embodies the Islamic values of stewardship (Khilafah) and responsibility toward the Earth, fostering a community-wide commitment to sustainability and care for Allah’s creation.
While the 2025 grant cycle is now closed, the work to protect our Common Home continues.
This effort serves as a reminder of the long-term importance of sustainability and caring for Allah’s Creation. Learn more about GIPL’s year-round Zero-Waste Program and stay tuned for future grant opportunities by subscribing to our newsletter HERE.
