Meagan Williams (she/her)

Program Associate | 404.377.5552 | meagan@gipl.org

Meagan serves as a Program Associate at Georgia Interfaith Power & Light (GIPL). In this role, Meagan supports GIPL’s metro Atlanta Green Teams, Zero-Waste, and Rewilding programs. This work allows her to engage local congregations in environmental education and community-led sustainability practices. Her passion for this work grew from formative experiences tying faith, justice, and a love for Creation together, including attending a United Methodist summer camp each year throughout her youth. These experiences planted in Meagan a calling to care for the Earth and all of its inhabitants.

Meagan holds a B.S. in Sustainable Development from Appalachian State University and a Master of Divinity from Candler School of Theology at Emory University. Meagan comes to GIPL from Saint Mark UMC where she served as the Young Adult Minister. She brings a variety of experiences, from both ministry and non-profit settings, in education and awareness, food and housing insecurity, and working with youth and young adults.

In her free time, you will find Meagan out walking in her neighborhood while listening to her audiobook, hanging out with her cats, and plotting her dream garden.
