ReWilding Program Pilot Application

GIPL is excited to pilot our ReWilding program with three congregations in metro Atlanta. The purpose of this program is to help faith communities assess their properties, evaluate current land-use practices, and begin implementing solutions that contribute positively to land regeneration and make green spaces more resilient to climate change.

As part of this program, congregations will be connected with a partner organization who will provide a land assessment/sustainable landscaping plan. Depending on the congregation's land use needs/interests, possible partners include Shades of Green Permaculture, Reforest ATL, Trees Atlanta, and the Atlanta Ecumenical Urban Farm Network. Congregations who have already received a land assessment/plan are also encouraged to apply.

Each selected congregation will receive $150 to offset the cost of the assessment and $1,000 to implement the recommendations. The total cost of the assessment varies by partner and property size. Please contact GIPL's Program Director, Hannah Shultz at hannah@gipl.org, for more details.
