SMS Terms and Conditions

By opting in to receive SMS messages from Georgia Interfaith Power and Light (GIPL), you agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms and conditions, please do not opt-in to receive SMS messages.

1. Opting In

By providing your mobile phone number and opting in to receive SMS messages from GIPL, you consent to receive text messages from us for informational, promotional, advocacy, and fundraising purposes. Message and data rates may apply. Check with your mobile carrier for details.

2. Frequency of Messages

You may receive recurring SMS messages from GIPL. The frequency of messages may vary but will not exceed four (4) per month.

3. Content of Messages

SMS messages from GIPL may include but are not limited to: event reminders, fundraising campaigns, volunteer opportunities, and organizational updates. We will strive to ensure that the content of our messages is relevant and valuable to you.

4. Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. We will only use your mobile phone number for the purpose of sending SMS messages related to GIPL's activities and initiatives. 5. Opting Out

You may opt out of receiving SMS messages at any time by texting STOP to stop receiving messages, or by emailing info@gipl.org. Once you opt-out, you will no longer receive SMS messages from us, except for confirmation messages related to your opt-out request.

6. Message and Data Rates

Message and data rates may apply to SMS messages sent and received. Check with your mobile carrier for details on your specific plan and rates.

7. Liability

GIPL is not liable for any delays in the receipt of SMS messages or for any errors in the content of SMS messages. We are not responsible for any charges incurred as a result of receiving SMS messages, including but not limited to message and data rates charged by your mobile carrier.

8. Changes to Terms

GIPL reserves the right to modify or replace these terms and conditions for SMS messaging at any time. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting of the revised terms and conditions. Your continued use of our SMS messaging service after any changes to these terms and conditions constitutes acceptance of those changes.
