Codi Norred Named GIPL's New Executive Director

Exciting news from GIPL Board Chair, Beth Remmes: On behalf of the Georgia Interfaith Power and Light Board of Directors, it is a great pleasure to announce that Codi Norred has accepted the role of Executive Director.   For the last three years, Codi has been an integral part of GIPL as Director of Programs and Policy. In this role, Codi has managed GIPL’s flagship programs, Power Wise, Solar Wise, and Water Wise, bringing sustainable and energy efficient alternatives to communities of faith, while managing GIPL’s Green Team Registry, Green Team Coaching Program, and the development and implementation of all GIPL educational programs. In his role as Interim Executive Director, which began in August 2020, Codi continued to lead all policy, program, and outreach efforts, including adding a staff member in Coastal Georgia. Amazingly, during the challenging year of 2020, he was able to expand GIPL’s programming, including the popular Coffee & Something Stronger web series, which features conversations between faith leaders and environmental activists at the intersections of faith, climate, and justice. In his role as Executive Director, Codi will work with the Board of Directors, staff, faith communities, and other community partners to continue to inspire and equip faith communities across Georgia to combat climate change and environmental injustices through worship, education, and faithful environmental action. We are very grateful for his knowledge and dedication to GIPL, and we look forward to his visionary leadership for years to come. Please join us in welcoming Codi to his new role as Executive Director!
