All are invited to join Georgia Interfaith Power & Light and Glenn Memorial UMC for dinner and a text bank to get out the vote for the upcoming Public Service Commission!
This event starts promptly at 6:30 p.m. and will begin with a short nonpartisan informational session on the Public Service Commission and what’s at stake in this election. Please bring a laptop or other internet-enabled device. We will use a website to send text reminders about the election and an opportunity to give public comment at the Public Service Commission on Oct. 15.
Registrants will receive emails for account creation from GetThru, to text potential voters securely during the event. If you have textbanked before with GIPL or another organization, you may already have an account. Please make sure you know your login details to have smoother access to the texting platform.
The texts being sent will NOT SHOW your personal information, including your phone number. You may choose a nickname to send text messages from.
This is a great opportunity to fulfill one of your obligations for a GOTV event if you applied for a GOTV grant. This is a nonpartisan event, and GIPL and our GOTV participants will not advocate for the election of any person or political party.
