Join other metro Atlanta Green Teams on a sustainability tour of Mercedes-Benz Stadiumon Tuesday, July 16 from 10:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Mercedes-Benz is the first stadium in the world to be awarded the Total Resource Use and Efficiency (TRUE) Platinum certification for its zero-waste efforts. The stadium diverts over 90% of all waste generated from sporting events and concerts away from landfills, incineration, and the environment. It is also incredibly energy efficient, leveraging renewable energy from 4,000 solar PV panels and an innovative design to reduce electrical use by 29%.
