2027 Green Team Summit

  • Temple Emanu-El 1580 Spalding Drive Sandy Springs, Georgia, 30350 United States (map)

Join Georgia Interfaith Power and Light (GIPL) for our annual Green Team Summit on Sunday, February 21, 2027, from 2-8 p.m. at Temple Emanu-El. This year's theme is "Tending to the Sacred."

This summit invites Green Teams, faith leaders, and environmental advocates to explore what it means to tend to the sacred in a world that often pulls our attention elsewhere. Tending is a lifelong practice of noticing, nurturing, and protecting what is most life-giving. When we tend to what is sacred, we become witnesses to a different way of living - one rooted in abundance over scarcity, relationship over isolation, and hope over despair. Together, we will explore how our faith traditions shape these daily practices and how they take root in tangible acts of caring for, and protecting, our Common Home.

Our keynote speaker, to be announced soon, will invite us to imagine a world shaped by justice, hope, and abundant life. We will reflect on how we can cultivate communities where people and the planet alike are able to flourish.  Then, through a variety of workshops, attendees will gain practical tools to build and strengthen Green Teams, deepen relationships within their congregations and communities, and put their faith into action through advocacy and climate solutions. Together, we will discover new ways to tend to what is sacred and live out our shared call to care for our neighbors and the earth.
